Polypropylene Webbing

Polypropylene (PP) Webbing is similar to nylon webbing, but it is lighter, less expensive, and easier to sew. PP webbing is a strong, narrow and closely woven fabric and it also repels water, is mildew resistant and low stretch. PP webbing is great for marine applications due to being water resistant and buoyant. Since it is chemically non-reactive and very light, it is adaptable to most industries. It is also an insulator and does not conduct electricity. Most PP webbing can be recycled.

PP webbing is also able to take a lot of weight, depending on the type. Heavy weave webbing was created for tougher uses, such as strapping down equipment and cargos, towing, heavy duty straps for jumbo bags, industrial safety belts etc.

While traditional webbing, which is our most popular and flexible type, is used in almost everything, from pet wear (collars, harnesses, leads, head collars) to PPE (straps for jackets, helmets, safety harness and other safety products), sports apparel, luggage and bag, camera and camcorder, lanyards and the list goes on.

The light weight webbing, which is also known as edging tape or binding, isn’t as strong as heavy weave webbing. It is most suitable to be paired with another material and it makes a great finish to your product. This type gives a clean look and not intended to be used on its own.

Our PP webbing is available in a large range of sizes, colours and designs to suit the varied application requirements of our customers.
